Winston Beauregard

Skippy and Molly have a new little friend, but if Skippy could talk, he'd tell you that he hasn't quite warmed up to him yet!

This is Winston Beauregard, our newest little Southern gentleman. He was abandoned at the nearby fire station and Matthew and I met him there. (We were at the fire station for a Tiger Cub field trip.)

Little Winston is a charmer. He was calm around teh Tiger Cubs, the fire trucks - lights and sirens. He purred and snuggled in my arms, and well...he came home with us. I tried to put him down, but he refused to run anyway! He wanted to be with us.

We kept him in the powder room on Monday night and took him to the vet on Tuesday afternoon. He was pronounced healthy and a fine feline specimen. He was also pronounced a boy and for 24 hours, we had thought he might be a girl. Alas, he had some parts tucked up there we hadn't taken notice of.

Those parts have now been deactivated. Winston was declawed and neutered on Wednesday morning and came home early this afternoon. He is extremely loveable, and purring away on my lap right now.
